Shore Dinner

No guided trip on the St. Lawrence is complete without enjoying the traditional 1000 Islands shore dinner! Started long ago by the fishing guides who used to row their parties out to the islands, the traditional Shore Dinner is a feast you won’t soon forget.

Fish from 8 AM until around noon, then the Captain will take you to an island where he will prepare the meal. Enjoy a fresh BLT while the salad, salt potatoes and fish are being prepared. Wait for it… crispy garden salad with the BEST homegrown tomatoes, yummy salt potatoes (a north country tradition), your fresh – caught fish, cooked over the wood fire to a golden brown, then, believe it, or not, incredible French toast, topped with delicious locally made maple syrup. Your leisurely ride back to Alexandria Bay will add memories as you relax and view the glorious scenery.

You are always invited to bring your own food and beverages on board, there will be lots of ice in the cooler to keep provisions cold.

The shore dinner adds $25 per person to the cost of the day’s trip, but count on it to keep you full way past dinner time.
